Freedom Forever

Freedom has been the quest of all generations from the beginning of time.  Take it away and we will fight to the death to regain it.  If we never had it we would envy those that do have it.  If we have it we must protect it with all diligence because there are those that will use all manner of deception and fraud to in slave the free so that they will receive that intoxicating drug called POWER.

Freedom, mixed with good moral laws, that would allow us to pursue our dreams in a safe and orderly society inspired the birth of this great nation and must be our ideology still today.

If we let those in power barter with our freedom, in order to gain even greater power, our freedom won't last forever.  Take a little bit, than a little bit more, until the last little bit feels nothing like freedom.  We will shout with load voices....I thought our Freedom was Forever!

Our freedom can't be for sale.  Our freedom is not negotiable.  Our freedom is not the fuel of another's greed and power.  Our Freedom must be for ALL equally.

Freedom to excel without penalty.  Freedom to speak all of our desires and concerns.  Freedom to choose or deny God.  Freedom to love the good and hate the evil.  Freedom even to be lazy and die poor.  Freedom to embrace and defend good moral law.

Don't let anyone ever take even a little of our freedom because they will fool us again and again until we become their slaves and they'll make us feel like its the right and patriotic thing to do.

Freedom must be Forever!!

I Can't Hear Anymore!

With all that is being said by our party, the words, the promises, platforms and dreams, they all seem short of our grand old party.  When Reagan spoke we heard vision, backed by action, fueled by passion.  When we read Lincoln we dream of moral direction that always leads toward the good of things.  When we wake in the morning and listen for that resolute direction of our hopes....We can't hear it anymore, at least not from our political party.  Maybe we need to fall back a few steps and lend our mind to a fresh direction.  Not one saturated with modern day antics and contemporary political philosophies but with true straight plumb lines and bench marks that don't move.

Now it seems we have a problem...where do we find such lofty thoughts nowadays.  Fresh ideas with words that stir our passions!  Where did the great leaders of our conservative party seek their inspiration?  Maybe they relied on strength greater than their own, found in the quite recesses of their own weakness.

The loud voice that once stirred our deepest emotions has gone silent....I Can't Hear Anymore!

Bailout, A Bad Idea for America

Another bailout, another stimulus, where does this end. Bad management is throttled by failure, if a company is not allowed to fail, it fosters bad management, continues poor leadership and empowers those providing the funds, not the company getting the funds.

Already liberals are wanting to control the businesses they are planning to save. We are moving our largest companies toward nationalization. Since when do politicians, mostly attorneys, understand and know business, much less sophisticated business such as our larger institutions.

Just take a look at Sarbanes Oxley, disastrous legislation imposed upon all business by blind politicians, it may be the single largest contributor to our current financial crisis. Couple these types of poor policies with a political system bent upon blaming the people, (owners of the companies they are destroying through bad policy, think Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae policies), and you have an incredibly inept group of leaders.

We need help, but not from the politicians.

What say you!

Conservative Principles

Conservatives need to understand, articulate and live conservative principles.

We believe:

People need to be empowered to do for themselves
Handouts empower the givers, not the recipient
The government is here to protect and defend, not provide
Government should be as small as possible
People should be empowered to help others through charity, not forced government programs, that is socialism
People that make jobs are a protected minority, not a source of tax revenue

Just a few today, I will post more latter.

Non Partisan Picks by Obama LOL

Non Partisan Picks by Obama?

What do we expect, if it looks like a snake, feels like a snake and acts like a snake, it is a snake. Obama's outrageously partisan picks should surprise no one, to think that auto-magically he would change into a moderate, what are people thinking.

Nations are always ruled by people that reflect their core values. Think about it, we elect movie stars and heros, if you can read a prompter in a way that stirs the hearts of people you to can be a politician. America has become overwhelmingly superficial, and so are our choices for office.

Obama has no business as president, for that matter McCain was a poor choice also, just the best of the worst.

America has seen nothing yet, wait until they see his decision making process, he has none, that is because he does not live by moral principles, if he did, we would be able to point to the things he has accomplished, besides a dismal voting record, when he even votes anything but abstain. He does not know how to make decisions, this means everything will be by committee, Pelosi and Reed will be calling the shots and Obama will follow his socialistic puppeteer's, only this puppet can really read a speach, a sort of salesman if you will. That means the pooled ignorance of hundreds of attorney's on matters they are ill equiped to handle.

Why are the ill equiped to handle them, because attorneys are taught to make decisions based upon rules and regulations, case law etc. They do not typically understand strategic principled thinking. Why do you think they are killing our country.

Sour grapes, maybe, time will show us just how poor our picks are.

A shallow people will get a shallow presedent, an immoral people will get an immoral president, that is what we have, a shallow immoral puppet of the socialist left. Don't believe it, watch him pander to the moveon.org people.

Let me know your thoughts.

Living Principles

I am not a happy camper! We put a poor candidate in a place to advance and defend principles which are obviously unclear to him, the party and the people.

The GOP has once again disappointed voters. They just don't get it, if you are going to be known as the party of change, of principles, of reform, you better know what you believe as a party and stand together in it . . . period.

Management is doing things right; leadership is doing the right things. Peter Drucker

If the quote by Drucker is a valid principle, and if anything is, this one is, then leaders absolutely have to know how to determine what the right things are.

Living and voting principles is not something you just do, it is a place people come to in their lives. When people passionately believe in a set of principles, decisions are guided by those principles, when they have a set of values that others connect to, they have to communicate them. When they have a plan to implement change based upon their values and principles, they have to collaborate with peers and constituents to bring about change.

I want to use this blog to express myself, expound upon conservative principles and somehow, just maybe, excite someones heart relative to principled leadership.

Just my rant.
